Officially I’m a creative director/art director but honestly, I’m an idea girl. Even as I’ve fully adapted to the digital/social world over my 20 years in the industry, my thinking and ideas are what clients and coworkers still value the most.
I’ve been lucky enough to work on many well known brands at many well known agencies. I even won a ton of awards early on. But I was getting antsy working on traditional campaigns seeing how our world was changing. That’s why I joined Manifest in 2107 as VP, CD for Chicago and St. Louis offices. In 2 whirlwind years there I dove in and learned more about content, digital and data than I ever could’ve imagined.
I took that learning and experience client-side heading up the in-house marketing team at Guaranteed Rate. There we completely revamped the social channels and elevated the overall brand.
Now, after having been practiced in both the traditional, digital, agency side and client side - I can say that where I started is more true than ever. That being, no matter where your creative goes, if you don’t have a great idea, it won’t be effective.
